Between 1903 and 1940, you could collect pictures by purchasing Verkade products and paste them into special albums. These Verkade albums came to an end during World War II.

This rare album from 1909 is one of the first albums produced and contains pictures of plants and flowers in winter.

After the seasonal albums, Verkade began releasing a whole series of mass-produced albums. This album is one of the rarest and most valuable.

The album was written by Jac. P. Thijsse, and the illustrations were painted by W.R. Wenckebach, Jan van Oort, and Jan Voerman Jr.

Considering its age, the album is in very good condition. All the pictures are complete. A piece of the paper on the first blank page is missing (see photo), but no text is missing. The cover is still in very good condition and is undamaged. The linen side cover is also in good condition.
