Between 1903 and 1940, you could collect pictures by purchasing Verkade products and paste them into special albums. These Verkade albums came to an end during World War II.

This rare album from 1906 is the first album produced after the first three picture albums ('fairy tale albums') and contains pictures of plants and flowers in spring.

After the seasonal albums, Verkade began releasing a whole series of mass-produced albums. This album is one of the rarest and most valuable.

The album was written by Jac. P. Thijsse, and the illustrations were painted by W.R. Wenckebach, Jan van Oort, and Jan Voerman Jr.

The album has some wear due to its age. All pages are attached, but there's a piece of tape on page 41 (not on the pictures). The side cover is still attached, but it's loose on one side. The corners of the cover are still intact. Otherwise, the album is complete, and all the pictures are in good condition.
