Collection: Winter 1909 (reissue 1975)

Between 1903 and 1940 you could collect pictures by buying Verkade products and you could stick them in special albums. The Second World War put an end to these Verkade albums.

In 1975, Verkade decided, in collaboration with the Association for the Preservation of Natural Monuments in the Netherlands, to re-release the seasonal albums Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

These pictures come from the album 'Winter' by Verkade, originally from 1909 but re-released in 1975. In total there were 144 small pictures in the album.

The pictures contain painted drawings of colorful flowers, plants and animals.

The album was originally written by Dr. Jac. P. Thijsse and the pictures were painted by LWR Wenckebach, Jan van Oort and J. Voerman Jr.
