Collection: Verkade picture album 1 1903

Between 1903 and 1940, you could collect pictures by purchasing Verkade products and paste them into special albums. These Verkade albums came to an end during World War II.

Verkade began publishing three picture albums in 1903, numbers 1, 2, and 3. These albums contained advertising pictures for Verkade products. These pictures could be slid into a thin paper album. This album was of low quality. Due to their rarity, these albums are difficult to obtain. The picture albums were such a success that Verkade later began producing more robust albums, which became a phenomenon.
